On Friday 8 November 2019 in partnership with the Royal London Hospital Haemophilia Centre, HBDCA will run our Life-coaching Wellbeing Day from 10am – 4pm.
We are thrilled to welcome guest speaker Chris Moon who will invite participants to explore issues and emotions around lack of self-confidence, anxiety about the workplace or employment, and the struggle to advocate for oneself in a world where there is often a lack of awareness about bleeding disorders.
There will be sessions on coping strategies as well as the opportunity for one-to-one sessions with our experienced, friendly therapists. Importantly, the day will also be the ideal chance to meet with other patients and share tips and ideas in a welcoming environment.
Prior to the workshop we sent participants a questionnaire that gave us valuable insight so we can ensure we provide maximum benefit on the day. Participants’ answers helped identify themes and the different issues that are encountered.
At the end of the Wellbeing Day participants will also be given an evaluation form to complete and return. This will form part of an overall analysis of the day that will enable HBDCA to continue to develop relevant, patient-led, psychological support that forms part of the excellent holistic care patients receive from the team at the Royal London Haemophilia Centre.
